I used the step from najibx to delete the block and rebuild it. Only one of the cache tables (cache_block) didn't update to include the serialized column. May have been something to do with a collision with the old block_cache module. Who knows, it's fixed now which is what matters.

Drupal 6 has improved theming system. for adding JavaScript code to your pages, you just need to create a file named "script.js" in your theme folder. Theme engine will automatically pick it up and place in scripts section.

how to implement drop down menus in the easiest way possible. Unfortunately, most CSS drop down tutorials still require you to add javascript to resolve IE6 issues. CSS menus require the ":hover" attribute on LIs, and IE6 just can't handle it. I figured since Drupal already includes jQuery, I'd write a tutorial that takes advantage of jQuery's simplicity and keeping the CSS to a minimum for ease of maintenance.
